Writer, actor and executive producer, Lazarus Guidry is a creative force seeking to inspire and entertain cinema lovers through a unique lens that puts him in a lane which sets him apart from most artists. 


A true southerner at heart, Lazarus brings original, genuine, refreshing and rich themes to his projects allowing him to appeal to people far and wide. He has tapped into genres that open up one's psyche, topics that evoke emotions and promote conversations about: What’s beyond the horizon? What is real? What drives us as humans and how can we think outside of the worldly constructs that have been put into place for us to live by and empower ourselves to dig deeper to search for more than meets the eye.  


Inspired by the art of storytelling, Lazarus has written, sci-fi scripts, period-pieces, dramatic narratives, actions, thrillers, comedies, and an entire comic book series.  


Lazarus’ break onto the big screen was in a feature called “Carter´s Wish,” followed up by “King of the Underground” where he worked alongside Malcolm Jamal Warner and Richard T. Jones. 


“The Runaways” on Hulu, and USA Networks; “Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B. I. G.” propelled Lazarus into the world of television. His most notable role came as a strong, yet vulnerable, character in the multi-award-winning film, “Straight Outta Compton.” 


Fearlessly moving from behind the camera to in front of the camera this 21st renaissance man continues to create entertaining, thought-provoking works that keep him on the front lines of creativity through visual art and Lazarus Guidry sees no end in sight... no time soon.
